The PPL is suitable for recreational flying. You can carry passengers and fly any aircraft that you are endorsed on but you cannot be paid to fly. Course details here
If you want to fly professionally with an Airline, you will need a Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi Engine Endorsement and Instrument Rating. Therefore, to meet these requirements, students aiming for an Airline Career choose the Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence-Aeroplane) and Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) course.

Medical Examination To be able train as a pilot you must undergo an aviation medical examination. This can be done after arrival in Australia, however it is more practical to undertake this before you depart.
