For this course you will be enrolled on the Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence) course however will only be partially completing the course and the Diploma will not be issued. You will receive credits towards the Diploma and be issued a Private Pilot License by the Australian Civil Aviation safety Authority (CASA). On completion of your Private Pilot License (PPL) you can fly yourself and passengers, by day, anywhere in Australia in visual flight conditions. You can convert your Private Pilot License to a local licence when you return home. The Private Pilot License is a recreational licence only. You cannot be paid to fly as a Private Pilot License holder.

You will demonstrate your skill to an approved testing officer by departing for a round trip with two or more landings/turning points enroute. You will be able to show that you can divert to an alternative location and overall, demonstrate competent planning and management of the flight, observing all procedures and rules, navigation, radio work and airmanship before successfully completing the flight.
After passing the PPL Test, you will be issued with the licence which enables you to fly anywhere within Australia, solo or with private passengers in daytime visual meteorological conditions. You will no longer require your instructor’s permission to undertake a flight as pilot in command.
Note:The course fee includes estimated flying hours, all theory, textbooks, navigation equipment, maps/charts and initial issue of CASA documents. Landing fees and en-route navigation charges shall be charged separately (approximately $1300). An invoice shall be issued by course completion. CASA fees are not included in your course fees and are payable directly to CASA.. These include licence issue (approximately $50), flight test fees (approximately $850), aviation medical (approximately $300), ASIC security clearance (approximately $257) and an Aviation English Language Proficiency Assessment ($120-$250).
