The Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has a number of approved Aviation Medical examiners in many countries
If there is an approved medical examiner in your area we recommend doing your medical at home about 2-4 weeks before you come to Australia.
If there isn’t an examiner nearby, no problem, you can do the aviation medical after your arrival in Australia.
You just need to have your aviation medical before your first solo flight, which is usually 6-8 weeks into the course.

Please note:
-
As part of your student visa application you will need to undertake a general medical examination. This is separate to the aviation medical.

If you have a current Class 1 Aviation medical in your own country you may only need to do a CASA Class 2 medical
